The Ordinary Shareholders' Meeting was held, which appointed the new Board of Directors of ITA Airways: the new Chairman is Sandro Pappalardo, Joerg Eberhart the CEO. Antonella Ballone, Lorenza Maggio, and Efrem Angelo Valeriani complete the Board. The new Board of Statutory Auditors is composed of Angela Florio, with the role of President, Paolo Ciabattoni and Federico Testa.

The new composition of the bodies reflects Lufthansa’s entry into the capital of ITA with a 41% stake.

For the Advisory Board - a body provided for in the Articles of Association with the task of facilitating the resolution of potential stalemate situations and making recommendations to the Board of Directors on strategic and commercial issues - the MEF appointed Antonino Turicchi, outgoing President of ITA Airways, and Domenico Iannotta, Head of the Department of the Economy of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
