On March 26 the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) announced the sales of n. 157.461.216ordinary shares of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A (BMPS), equivalent to 12,5% of the share capital, by means of an “Accelerated Book Building ABB” reserved to Italian and foreigninstitutionalinvestors (the “Transaction”).
Following the Transaction, the stake held by MEF in BMPSwill decrease from 39.23% to 26.73% of the sharecapital.

The settlement of the Transaction will be on 2 April 202 4
