The Ministry of Economy and Finance today issued a new coin from the 2024 Numismatic Collection, minted by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, celebrating the “2023-2025 Voyage Around the World  of the Amerigo Vespucci Ship".

The artwork, in silver, with a nominal value of 5 euro, created by the artist engraver, Emanuele Ferretti, is dedicated to the sailing ship that has navigated for 20 months since 1 July 2023, calling at more than 30 ports in 28 countries and touching on all five continents of the globe, ending its voyage on 11 February 2025.
