The Ministry of Economy and Finance today issued a coin minted by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato and dedicated to the Federico II University of Naples, one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious universities, to mark the 800^th anniversary of its foundation.      

The coin, designed by the artist Uliana Pernazza, was minted in silver, in proof version, with a mintage of 8,000 pieces.
