Numismatic Collection 2024: a new coin to celebrate Cantucci and Vin Santo
In honour of Tuscany’s rich culinary and wine traditions, the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance today issued a coin minted by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato. It features two classic Tuscan products, Vin Santo and Cantucci, and is framed by the stunning structures of Brunelleschi's dome, Giotto’s bell tower, and the Arnolfo tower in Palazzo Vecchio.
The coin is the work of the artist engraver Marta Bonifacio and has a face value of €5. It is made in cupronickel, in a Brilliant Uncirculated version with a limited production of 7,000 units.
You can view the coins in the Numismatic Collection Catalogue 2024 published on the website of the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, where other issues planned for the year are listed.
