The Ministry of Economy and Finance today issued a new coin, minted by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Italian financial market supervisory body and authority: the Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa (National Commission for Companies and the Stock Exchange) - Consob.

The silver coin, with a face value of 5 euro and available in a proof version with a mintage of 4,000 pieces, is the work of State Mint engraver Valerio De Seta.
