Italy participated in the work of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland, from 15 to 19 January 2024. The 54th edition of the Annual Meeting, entitled 'Rebuilding Trust', focused on the fundamental principles that guide trust, including transparency, consistency and accountability. It hosted over 100 governments, leading international organisations, as well as civil society leaders, experts, youth representatives, social entrepreneurs and media. 

On behalf of Italy, the Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti and the Director General of the MEF (Ministry of Economy and Finance) Economics Department Marcello Sala attended the Annual Meeting. The issues under discussion included investment in Italy, the priorities of the G7 Italian Presidency, which began on 1 January, and the evolution of the global economic framework.
