The Department of the Economy registers real estate owned by public administrations, both central and local.

The registration is part of the PA Heritage project, launched in 2010 under Article 2, Paragraph 222 of Law 191/2009 for the annual appraisal of the components of public assets.

The information, communicated by the administrations through the Real Estate application, feeds into a 'centralised' database that constitutes a knowledge tool for investigating the characteristics and use of public real estate and for identifying possible development measures.  

The data declared by the administrations are made available in open data pursuant to Article 9-bis of the Transparency Consolidation Act.
