The Ministry of Economy and Finance today issued the coin dedicated to Guglielmo Marconi, minted by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato.

The coin celebrates the 150^th anniversary of the Italian physicist's birth and the 100^th anniversary of the first radio broadcast in Italy. In silver, with a nominal value of 5 euros, it is available in a brilliant uncirculated version with a mintage of 4,000 pieces.
