Banca MPS: The Ministry of Economy and Finance sells 15% of the share capital for approximately 1,1 billion euros

On November 13 the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) announced the sales of n. 188.975.176 ordinary shares of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A (BMPS), equivalent to

15% of the share capital, by means of an “Accelerated Book Building ABB” reserved to Italian and foreign institutional investors (the “Transaction”).
Following the Transaction, the stake held by MEF in BMPS will decrease from 26,7% to 11,7% of the share capital.

The settlement of the Transaction will be on 15 November 2024.
